I Will Live Until I Die (A Musical on the Life of Sr. Thea Bowman) is brought to life with a commanding performance by award-winning actor, singer and playwright, ValLimar Jansen.
ValLimar Jansen, along with a large Gospel choir, perform sixteen of the Spirituals Sr. Thea Bowman sang to people around the world, during her lifetime. Today, audiences across the United States are often moved to clap and sing along, with this rousing and familiar music.
ValLimar and the Gospel choir are joined by an ensemble of nine “Nuns” whose angelic voices bring to life four of the most beloved Catholic Latin hymns: Ubi Caritas, O Santissima, Panis Angelicus, and Salve Regina.
This dynamic musical ends with ValLimar performing one of Sr. Thea Bowman’s most famous and compelling speeches. Sr. Thea gave this unprecedented address to a gathering of America’s Roman Catholic bishops, in June of 1989. https://youtu.be/uOV0nQkjuoA
